Roberta Fernell

Roberta’s career in municipal government has spanned multiple functions and a variety of roles over the past 30 years.  She is currently the Director of IT at the County of Newell. Over the course of her career, Roberta has had the opportunity to lead several key initiatives for the County such as tangible capital assets, development and implementation of a communication framework, and system integration projects.  It has been her honor and privilege to share the County of Newell’s data transformation journey at the Laserfiche Empower Conference in California, Xperience#EDA2020 (Economic Developers Alberta), MISA Prairies Conference (Municipal Information Systems Association), AMSA (Alberta Municipal Supervisors Association) Conference, CentralSquare Customer Conference, among other venues.
