Tim haas taught productive thinking and creative problem solving to business leaders on six continents. He was a founding director of Manifest Communications, Canada’s first social marketing firm. He is founding director of Mindcamp, a creative thinking forum with annual events in Canada and Chile. His first book, Think Better, is published in twelve languages. In 2018 it was included in McGraw-Hill’s “Business Classics” series. His second book, Never Be Closing, on using creative and ethical principles to improve the sales process, was cited by Oprah Winfrey’s OWN as one of the best personal development books of 2015 and will be re-issued in 2025, as The Accidental Salesperson: Sales skills for people who hate selling. Tim has served on numerous business and social purpose and start-up boards in Canada, Chile, and the US, including the Innovation Studio of Oberlin College where he is currently helping to re-design Oberlin’s Center for Engaged Liberal Arts. He is currently working on a book titled, Great Answer — Wrong Question, a modern interpretation of Socratic learning principles. Tim and his colleague, Robert Wakulat, are North American Regional Representatives of Pro.Play, a partnership between PlayMobil GmbH, Germany, and Actitude Creativa, Spain, whose mission is to help organizations embed innovation and creativity principles and tools into their cultures.
